Magnet testing for PEMF therapy devices, now available at NewMed.

When using most PEMF therapy devices you are not able to see, feel or hear the pulsed electromagnetic fields that are coming from your device, which may cause worry as you may feel that your PEMF device isn’t working properly, as it can be strange to lie on a PEMF therapy mat and not hear or feel a thing. To tackle this frequently asked question, here at NewMed we now provide a magnet tester with most of our high-intensity devices, allowing you to test your device from your home or clinic without the help of a professional. Please note that not all of the high-intensity PEMF devices we offer come with a magnet tester and some magnet testers are ones from the manufacturer.

Using a magnet tester is an efficient way to reassure you that your PEMF device is working. The magnet tester allows you to quickly check the device if you are having any suspicions that it is not working, as well as allowing you to check it regularly so that you can stay aware of the condition of your PEMF therapy device.

To use the magnet to check your PEMF device is working you need to place it near the coils. When the magnet is exposed to the magnetic fields on your device you will be able to see or hear the magnet moving which indicates that the device is working as it should be. We here at NewMed have our own magnetic testers which allows you to be able to hear the magnet as well as being able to see it. The magnet will bounce around the casing due to entering the magnetic field you will be able to hear if your device is working or you will be able to see the magnet moving. If your PEMF therapy device isn’t working then the magnet tester will simply not move or make any sound as it is not being exposed to the magnetic fields.
